Hello HOV Community,
Natalia writing to you all. I know after fulfilling our duties to the publishers and all of you, we have been quiet for a long time. I will take personal responsibility for that. My health took a turn for the worse and I have been taking care of it ever since that time. I was doing my best to manage it all but in the end me and our amazing Intern Emily were just not able to keep up with the timezone changes and my declining health.
We loved all your content, we were thrilled with your participation, and had the chance to shed light on some amazing books together, and overall we were just thrilled with your support and honored that you continued to work with us. So it is with a heavy heart that we left so unexpectedly.
Emily and I worked really hard behind the scenes to keep HOV going, as it is a cause and a project that we firmly believed in and it literally brought us happiness to have a space that provided opportunities for all of you. However, I admit that it hadn’t been running as smoothly as before and I know some of you noticed.
I ran most of the administrative side of the company and its social media but my health was deteriorating and I was unable to be as present or as diligent with my responsibilities. And while Emily is and was an amazing intern , she was also finalizing her senior year and preparing for college, which most of us know can be a challenging time. So it would not have been fair of me to put more of my responsibilities on her.
We only ever wanted to provide all of you creators and the publishers we worked with the best we could, but we reached a point were there was nothing else we could do for the time being.
So we emailed the publishers that we had pending work with and explained the situation, so every amazing book had a chance to find new marketing and a new tour home. Yet, I still had not had a chance to share a letter of what happened with all of you.
It was truly an honor to see you go from small accounts to healthy followings. From only reviewing books you could get versus books you wanted. We are truly grateful you all chose to grow with us.
We will miss being part of your journey!
Hopefully one day we can meet again!
